INDICATION:

Adults and children.

Epileptic disorder.

Rivotril® is indicated for the treatment of epileptic seizures and infantile spasm (West syndrome).

Adult

Rivotril® is also indicated for:

Anxious disorders

• As an anxiolytic in general.
• Panic disorder with or without fear of open spaces.
• Social phobia (fear of situations such as public speaking).

Mood swings

• Bipolar affective disorder (periods of depression and mania): treatment of mania.
• Major depression: associated with antidepressants in anxious depression and treatment initiation.

Psychotic syndromes

• Akathisia (extreme restlessness, usually caused by psychiatric medications).

Restless legs syndrome (discomfort or pain in the legs that causes them to need to be moved and interferes with sleep).

• Dizziness and balance problems: nausea, vomiting, fainting, falls, tinnitus, and hearing problems. Burning mouth syndrome (burning sensation inside the mouth without physical changes).
